OK, I'll ask the obvious question

I'm sure ths has been asked here before but
WHY DID THEY NOT JUST MAKE A REMAKE OF THE ORIGNAL instead of a movie about making a remake?

reply

As I recall, that matter is discussed in the featurettes or commentary.

This is the worst ideas in the history of Hollywood. I hope somebody lost their job because of it.

Open the door for Mr. Muckle!!

reply

It really is. It's right up there with the embecile who thought it was cool to make a Tom & Jerry movie and have them speak. Why couldn't they just play it straight? Darren meets Samantha, she reveals she's a witch and comedy ensues. Why do these people always have to "improve" upon what already worked the first time?

I am surprised at Norah Ephron.

Sister, when I've raised hell, you'll know it!

reply

Because they thought they were being clever and thought they were smarter than their audience. Of course they were wrong!

Has anyone ever told you you're as boring as you are ugly?

reply

I liked it.

I thought it was appropriate.

I wished there were more Bewitched scenes, though.

How are you going to cram 8 years of marriage and 2 kids, various whacked family members into an hour and a half.

Oh Thank you God! Thank you so BLOODY much!Basil Fawlty

reply

Give them credit for at least trying to be original even if the final product sucked.

I wish you were the one
Wish you were the one that got away...
