this film is terrible.

all it does is steal form the tim burton movie, the whole'joker blames batman and they are very alike' angle which sandy talks about is just lifted straight from the proper film. its like making a star wars movies with just a luke and vador battle then they have have a massive dscussion bout the fall of the republic during which.

i'm sorry but its poorly written, poorly acted(i cringe at the joker and ok it may look good but it is not good.

and dont ever anyone call this 'a fanboys wet dream' again-cuz it is certainly not!!!!!

Yeah, I don't see how people think this is an accurate depiction of Batman. It's not...at all. Batman was a ninja, not a boxer.

And aliens and predators? That's just *beep* retarded. And Sandy is a cocky *beep*

Well, if I had $30,000 and a history in the film biz, contacts, and access to semi-professional actors, I probably would have made it longer than 8 minutes, that's too limiting. Maybe go up to 20-30. Nix the Predators and Aliens, cause those were just thrown in so Sandy could show off what he has access to. I'd start with Batman sitting on a rooftop, silhouetted by the moonlight and city lights. Arkham sirens go off, he starts running. Joker lands on the other side of the fence, maybe have him escape from the straightjacket as he runs, or already have it undone as he runs. Maybe show off a couple of gadgets, but nothing too much. I'd make the focus of it be the chase, a fight, then a talk. Everyone knows that that Joker blames Bats, so I'd go for something different...maybe Joker trying to convince him to let him escape (but not in the "I'm the Yin to your Yang" way), or maybe have the Joker get psychological and make Batman doubt what he does, why he does it, if it's worth it, if it works. If it doesn't sound inspired, keep in mind that I came up with it on the spot at 2:14 in the morning.

Read a comic once in a while. Batman was trained in several forms of martial arts, not just ninjitsu. He was also trained as a boxer by Ted Grant aka Wildcat who is in the justice society.

Well, in fairness, I wouldn't say that this short "stole" anything from the authorized movies. The concept of the Joker being the sort of Yin to Batman's Yang has been long-established in the comic books; and indeed, the idea of Batman "creating" the Joker is a one that dates back to the 1950's in the comics. This film merely takes its inspiration from the original source material...which is how it would be in a perfect world, really. Would that more Hollywood comic-inspired films actually stuck to the original material, instead of reinventing the wheel.

First Tim Burton is an idiot and his version of batman sucked ass. There was nothing in his movies of the real batman...and by real I mean the one Frank Miller created. Burton's effort was an empty attempt at an artsy interpretation of the Dark Night Returns. Batman has 1/4th the screen time of the Joker and his flick started the trend of making the villan the focus of the movie that climaxed with the unbelievably horrible Batman and Robin. Granted the acting and fighting in batman dead end aren't great, they were the first to give us a glimpse of something other than a latex coated gadget obsessed batman.

Oh and by the way.. *beep* Tim Burton and Joel *beep* them up their stupid asses.

Snooch to the Mother *beep* Nooch

P.S. It's Luke Skywalker and Darth VADER... U Just Got SERVED...

This "movie" sucks ass.

Christian Bale is the best Batman.

reply

Ok Christian Bale was better at playing Batman, but this didn't suck ass. The camera work was brilliant, Andrew Koenig was better (in my opinion) playing the Joker than Jack Nicholson and Batman fighting an Alien and a Predator was a concept which i've never seen before!

This captured Batman better than all the Warner Bros films combined.
