This cost $30,000! Thats Disgusting

This short film is horrible 8 minutes of talentless actors making fools of great comic book characters.

If I remember right, I think Clerks cost $40,000 for a full length feature. But that was filmed completely in black & white, written, directed, produced and directed by the same guy, using basically no costumes, a borrowed set that was the workplace of the director, actors that were mostly just his buddies, and not much in the way of props.

I'd be willing to bet a fair chunk of the money on both films went to the camera equipment. Clerks was made with a cheaper camera and cheap film, whereas this was made in colour. Clerks had no costumes, this had to make a costume for Batman, the Joker, an Alien, and a couple of Predators. These costumes would have cost a fair chunk of change since they didn't look THAT bad. The actors and writer probably only got a couple of hundred bucks each for their work.

I wonder if they had to pay DC or Dark Horse comics to use the characters.

They could've cut at least a few hundred bucks off that budget and had a better movie if they'd left the damn Aliens and Predators out of it. That those two had the best costumes out of the whole cast is kinda telling. What a bloody waste. Batman and Joker had some good dialog, but lousy wardrobe. The lameass "crossover" dudes looked like they'd just stepped off the set of AVP, but all they did was a lousy three-way fight scene with Batman. Lame.

*beep* , I was just about to ask someone on the board about the budget,
Batman would have looked cooler in black instead of grey, and they didn't get jokers laugh right.
