Character development totally sucked.

I just finished watching this, and I kinda liked it, but felt that there were like 30 irrelevant characters, they keep adding and adding guys that were so bland or didn't have a background or any relevance to the plot. Then came the problem that there were some "dramatic" scenes involving characters that the viewer mostly don't give a damn, so why in heck we get so many new characters if only Kira and Asran were the only ones with a nice story.

Example: Lux, Frey, Kagari, and specially Mu La Fraga were totally underused (being kinda the most important secondary characters)and sometimes given a lot of lines but a little development, or an episode dedicated to them but after more than 5 episodes without appearing, or without any relevance (Like Mu La Fraga around episode 46-47 and his story with Klueze
