Questions regarding IA3 and some new characters

1) Can someone explain to me what was the scene all about where SP Yeung and his men goes into a nightclub and talks to some Taiwanese guys and a guy who Yeung puts a bag of cocaine in his pocket. What is this guy's role?

2) Who is Chun? Was he Sam's mole? What scene was he in?

3) Who is SP Leung? What was his rank? Did he actually appeared in the movie?

4) What does CIB and SP stand for?

All in all I enjoyed the trilogy tremendously.

1) Yeung could not bust a drug operation, so he decided to blame these other criminals, and to capture them he used the other thugs by planting cocaine on them. Maybe the criminals he took in to custody where the buyers, and dealers didn't show up. I can’t remember.

2) Andy Lau's partner? Or do you mean that superintended that show himself in the third installment? Both were moles.

1)I think that the scene was meant to show that SP Yeung is a shady character. He is good but technically, his actions depict of a person that other people might interpret as corrupt much like SP Wong's character in IA2. I think that arms dealing is more serious than drug dealing.

2)Chun was the seargant who commited suicide in front of SP Yeung where he was sitting casually while Chun was pointing a gun to his head. He was Sam's mole. Ming was delivering his uniform to the Security Wing where his suicide occured.

3)I think SP Leung is the head of IA. He is the man playing golf in IA1 and telling Ming he will be transferred to IA to find the the mole. In IA2, he was the man who dropped by at the party during 1997 handover just before Hau got arrested. In IA3, he was the person who called off the Wong's unit from busting Shen-Sam's D-Day and he was in those flashbacks with Ming telling him he will do office work and urges Ming to take a vacation with Mary for a month.

4)CIB - Criminal Investigation Bureau and SP I think means Superintendant

1. Yeung came to night clubs speaking something that (someone in police is going to sue some police staff but yeung just came to stop them) makes the main head to stop sueing some police. don't know, because it's chinese.

2. who play this role?

3. Yeung Kam Wing, not LEung, nobody there surname leung. From Leon Lai, because it's a new cast.

4. Crime investigation bureau (CIB), SP don't know, maybe special police?
