The only reason to watch this movie

is for Vicki Zhao. Shes cute in this. (Strange, she ends up with the slightly old dude.) Unlike Zhang Ziyi whos character is really irritating and unlikeable in Musa.

Anyways, i doubt people will know of this movie.

I enjoyed watching this movie. The choreagrophy was good and the story was acceptable, apart from the fantasy part of it for most people. But overall this is an enjoyable movie if you are into Martial Arts and virtuous behavior.

she is super cute, and this is a good movie, but her role seems superfluous...i mean we never find out why shes there or what for? i think she hints at knowing the Li dude, but we never find out how...shes just eye candy...awesome eye candy

Zhao Wei is terrific in "Chinese Odyssey 2002" -- a laugh-out-loud comedy even if the viewer is limited to subtitles.

She's also terrific in "Green Tea". (She's in "Beijing Bicycle," but I didn't realize it, so have to watch that again.)

Agree with everything you say. It's a pity in a film of this length, the producers couldn't have found the time to more fully develop the Wen Zhu character.🐭

It wans't Zhang Ziyi in "Musa," it was the character she played as it was intended: the character begins entitled, and slowly develops into a down-to-earth human being.

You're absolutely right, although the OP did say, "Zhang Ziyi whos character is ..."

Still, I'm with you, it's odd how people in general refer to actor names when discussing movie characters.

I watched zhao wei's movie, for zhao wei. it's pretty good movie though her character is not really relevant here. Yeah, of course she's zhao wei, her presence only, make her relevant. :D
