Name of actor who plays heavy

There is an actor who plays one of the heavies fighting and shooting the "good guys" and he is great looking, has a cleft in his chin, and looks like a leading man who should be working, with his movie star looks.
The film is not great, but the producer hired good looking bit players, but this guy is dark haired and nasty in the film.
He is in the scenes with tents, helicopters and a lot of shooting and I don't think his accent was Russian....who knows what was going on in this mess.
