The Twin? (SPOILERS!!)

Uhkay, this was confusing me at first, but I eventually figured it out. And, I've never read the book this was based on.

Anyjoe, the female assassin who died at the hotel had a twin, right? Or if not a twin, a sister that looks very much like her? That's why they kept showing the baby in that black&white vignette during the scene where she's bleeding. But, they don't reveal that she has a twin until the end. Here, they show another vignette of TWO babies in the scene where the newly-hired twin assassin kills Jonathan Rhys-Meyers's character, Sean (how tragic!!) & almost everyone else there.

I kinda have this wrapped round my finger already, but I was just wondering if anybody else thought the same. So, what does everyone else think? I could be completely wrong...but then again, we each see what we want to see. Opinions??

That makes sense. I'd never thought about it that way.

But then I still have a question. What was with the scene where she comes out and shoots the guys while they're still all on the stairs? Was that just a dream she was having before she died or what?

That scene is pretty ambiguous. I was confused w/ it too..but I do think that she was having a dream or something. If you try to piece the parts of that scene together or put them in order (as I have tried), it doesn't make much sense. I mean, how would she be able to do that when she was weak & dying?? And, in the end, SHE was the one who died & not that group of men, because (I believe) you still see "the boss" alive.

This is wide open to interpretation, but that's just my two cents. Anyjoe, I haven't seen this in a while so I may be a bit iffy on the theorizing :)

I've only just watched this so sorry for bringing this thread back to life. I did wonder myself but thought the police might have been involved say due to corruption etc and that the assassin's death was faked. Just the way that the policeman watched JRM's character as he came down the stairs makes me think.
