anyway about this film, I saw it today it wasn't bad, I like it, really good but sad story and I think Brendan is a good actor
I like his performance the best, the others gave a regular or bad performance but he was awesome

I can see why some people hated this
but for me it was a gritty, downbeat story that gripped me. Yes in some ways it is explicit but porn it is not.
A good story with a very good ending - it was more realistic than it having a happy ending.
I recommend this to anyone with an open mind

I totally disagree. This film was honest, confronting, wonderfully acted (Brendan Fehr was AMAZING) and has a lot of highly controversial issues that are broached well and left with intrigue. The strange fantasies some of the clients have were really interesting. Okay it was graphic and was no Pretty Woman, but prostitution is not glamourous. It's not all pretty people screwing other pretty but lonely people. That really fat woman, okay it was gross, but real and I beleived it. The whole film could have been a scret documentary as far as I am concerned. The only thing I thought was fake and stupid was the drug dealing sister Cookie. That annoyed me greatly, she's twelve - it was too much to beleive.

But Brendan Fehr is a fantastic actor and this film is highly underated.

But of course, that's only I.M.O!

I could understand how you find the drug-dealing sister to be hard to believe. I think it's becuase they portrayed her as being this innocent little girl that happened to be not-so-innocent on the inside. At leats where I'm from, 12-year-olds can and do get mixed up in drugs and it's really sad because I live in the *beep* epitome of white suburbia. I think if they had made her character out to be more like the little girls around here that are starving for attention and a glimpse into the "grown-up" world then it would have been more realistic.

As far as what others have said about filmimg, I think it was really good. It might not have been the best quality, being dark and almost looking like a home movie. But I think that just enhances the story. They're not showing you a fairy tale where everything's wonderful and bright. It's a dark story and should be displayed as such.

I respect your opinion and your right to share it, though I note that without knowing what other movies you've seen, your title doesn't help us much.

In my view, this film is a disorganized mess (saying it's got a confusing structure is too generous: it has no structure). It's got wildly imporobable elements and characters, numerous performances that I'd rate as only marginal, and clumsy camerawork. But I still wouldn't call it any worse than, say, Titanic, because it's an attempt at telling a story of confused people whose lives are chaotic. So to a degree, the form is mirroring the content, which I feel is apt.

Now I'm not saying the movie is a work of cinematic genius or anything, but I feel you may have been a tad unfair to it.

The whole plotline sucks..i sat through the entire movie like this: o.0 goin WTF

then i sat there at the end and went what the hell just happened...i returned it and got my money back

I just saw this last week. I thought the writing was pretty bad and the acting WAS bad. Very weird film which I would never watch again. The only good thing about it was Butch -- who was totally hot!

i thought it was a poor movie, attempting way too much to be like requiem for a dream, the only thing that makes it half decent is Brendan Fehr, cuz i was a big roswell fan, and even in this movie he maintains his coolness Huzzah
