9 (2009) connection

I've noticed a movie connection between Strings (2004) and 9 (2009)

In the funeral scene at the end of 9. 7 (Jennifer Connolly) says to 9 "They're free now".

In Strings, the film also ends with a funeral and Zita (Catherine McCormack) says to Hal (James McAvoy) "She is free now, Hal. Truly free".
