Julian Sands...What happened?

I don't get it. Julian Sands went from a great movie like A Room With A View to Boxing Helena to this. I think you need to get a new agent Julian.

I do not know what's wrong with you, it's a great movie with beautiful pictures and a fantastic athmosphere!

Maybe he just needed the change.

Personally, I thought it was a decent film and shot beautifully. I don't know why all the trickery with the box art and film title at Blockbuster. I would have rented it anyways.

I do take your point though, Julian is a top knotch actor and certainly does seem to pay his dues a lot in low budget films.

'Julian Sands need a CHANGE'

What a interesting choice of words.

You're asking the eternal Hollywood question; why did this guiy hit it and stay on it and this guy didn't? Karen Allen starred in two of the biggest hits in Hollywood history; Raiders of the Lost Ark and Animal House and where is she now? Where's Mark Hammill and Carrie Fisher from Star Wars? F. Murray Abraham? Tom Hulce? After Amadaeus they looked like sure things. I remember after Body Double Craig Wasson was going to be the next big thing. None of them are starving I'm sure but they aren't where I would've thought they would be today. PS I'm a big Julian Sands fan BTW.

Since yo're a big J.S. fan, could you tell me the name of the scifi movie in which he played some type of investigator/law inforcement type aboard a space station? I think it was out in the late 80s. It has been a while since I've seen it, I think it was Sands in it.

Edit: I found the name of the movie-Murder on the moon 1989.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. and always remember where ever you go-there you are.

I know-Craig Wasson was fantastic in Boys in Company C(1978) and I don't know what happened with him. He could've gone to TV. As for Julian- he's a good actor, and he was in a couple of Law&Order:Criminal Intent and he is always first rate. As long as he works steady, what more can an actor ask for? Julian is great whether he is playing a werewolf or a scientist or a warlock-he just nails it every time!

I thought this was a nice film for Julian Sands. Much more decent than Warlock 1 and 2, which I did like, btw. Also more serious than Arachnophobia.
