So is this movie in English?

Russian or Kazakh?

reply

For now, Kazak and Russian.

The fate of English (International) version is uncertain.

reply

Did they do a voice-over ot something, it says that most of the actors are foreigners? Which is kinda sad really, I am sure they would have been able to find Kazakh actors or at least someone from the Central Asia. Oh well....may be Kazakh actors will be playing Mexican characters some day :)

reply

They did subtitles in Russian and voiceovers in Kazakh. Presumably they will do subtitles in English--I hope so, I want people to hear Kazakh.

reply

There are NO Russian subtittles in Russian version. Everybody speaks Russian.

To do me a favor go to http://cathome.ru/pat.php?cat=8323, otherwise don't

reply

There's russian dabing, but it's pretty bad, really, especially of Mansur and Gaukhar. I mean second version. First one was in Kazakh with russian subtitles. Guess one day it'll be in english without subtitles.

I agree that it would be great to have it in the original audio, or the option of either. But I've seen a trailer to Nomad that has english in it. I guess it was just voiceovers.

reply

I agree that they couldn't come with better voices for Mansur and Gaukhar - voices that would reflect the hero's state of mind.

reply

Initially movie was shot in Kazakh and English

are you a Borat lover or something??? sure sound like one...loser

reply

Dude, get a life. Who wants to hear you talk? *probably not anyone, other then a few sexually frustrated, probably perverted people*. Did you even read what you wrote? Doesn't make any sense.

Maybe you should watch Nomad to see what Kazakhstan is all about because apparently you believe Borat and his idiotic movie. Am i right? This is where you get all the latest information about the world it seems.

reply

Hey, don't diss Borat!

I loved that movie, but I am really looking forward to see Nomad too. No one with a brain actually believes Kazakhstan is like that. Maybe Afganistan is like that, but definately not Kazakhstan.

Why are you speaking low level stupid meat? Borat about idiots like you, that believe "Borat" about other people. Wake up and see it’s about idiot gringos like you.

reply

The Region 1 DVD and Blu Ray is in English and actually very well dubbed. However you can briefly hear Kazakh being spoken at the beginning of the movie underneath the opening voice over.

I'm watching a version in China that has the Chinese subs and is in, I presume, the original English, and they sound like Native & Latin Americans talking in Hollywood Russian accents! But I won't let it distract me. At least they aren't speaking Valley talk. I'll stick with it until they say "awesome" or "like dude," or some annoying overused urban crap like "my bad" or "that's what I'm talkin' 'bout."
