They also said that some European & American movie companies already have bought the rights to show it outside Kazakstan.
shareIt is still bad that director had damped the project before finishing. What a hell happened? He got sick? He got enough? He didn't get enough money?
Movie with budget of 34 mln. should get heluva promotion. Where's that? Who knows about it apart from us the crazy bunch? July is not good time, it is bad time for the historical, costume drama set in some country far, far away! No one releases that kind of things in the summer. Summer is like "wedding planner" or "noting hill" it is not "crouching tiger, hidden dragon". I think movie is being damped or actually it was already damped in March.

Salam, QASQYR! I knew it was you :) But still I am worried if this movie is going to be received well by the Western audience, because that is the most important issue. The better it is received, the more money it will make, more money it will make, there would be more media about KZ, which hopefully will result in better and fair exposure and at the end KZ will have the place in the cultural map of the world it deservers by all the rights imaginable.
Central Asia is the white spot at the moment, no one knows much about it. And that is wrong! There is so much C.A. can give it is a waste not to tap in the richness and diversity of Central Asian culture and history.
hope it's released soon in the U.S.
shareOfficial release date - July 6, 2005
sharehow do you know that?are you sure? :)
shareYes, Kazakstan premiere is July 6, 2005
That info is official.
The creators promised that worldwide premiere is going to be in fall 2005.
we will have to wait until fall :(
Maybe we´ll see it before with the emule lol
Hopefully we (all of us living far away) will see it in theatrical release here in North America. I can't wait to see it. First big budget film from KZ. I feel proud for the nation :) How was the premiere in KZ? I was asking my brother who still lives in Almaty, but he doesnt know much about it :(
shareThe reason is that here in Almaty the first night of the movie was only for journalists and all that stuff.
shareoh, well I hope it will be released in u.s. theatres soon.
shareOf coz it will (just after KZ : )))
shareWhen will this movie come out in Europe?? Anyone???
shareSomebody has to tell me what the *beep* is going on. When will they start showing this freaking movie. I'm waiting for it for a *beep* long time now. Can someone please tell me the release date in middle east?

I see Undecided 2006 for the release date, which seems accurate for Western Europe and the US.
