Ivan Passer

While people seem to be posting about how they feel about the subject matter, whether it is culturally authentic, or whether the battle scenes stack up (assuming you are into the genre), I looked this film up because I really liked two other films by this director, namely Intimate Lighting http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060543/ and Cutter's Way http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082220/, and wanted to know if there was anything about Nomad that would recall them.

Is there anyone out there who can speak to how this movie compares to Passer's other films? Or was it changed so much in the process of bringing it to market that his hand is no longer recognizable?

Thanks!
