similar to The Machinist? (spoiler??)
Was anyone else reminded of the dark, dreary, self loathing nature of The Machinist after watching this film? In both films the main character spends a great deal of time hallucinating a villain, or at least letting the viewer ponder if it's a hallucination or not. Both films are incredibly dark, using drab colours and deal with places that dont have sunlight and a strong mechanical sound in the background- subway vs. factory. Both main characters are dealing with the issue of sleep deprivation or at least uncomfortable sleeping situations. I could go on but I don't want to spoil either film for anyone.
