Hillside Strangler to be released on DVD January 10,2006

FANGORIA has learned that co-writer/director Chris (NIGHTSTALKER) Fisher’s HILLSIDE STRANGLER will finally be emerging. Held up to distance itself from co-writer/director Chuck Parello’s own (and similarly titled) take on the true-life serial killers from fall 2004, Fisher’s more sexually charged HILLSIDE STRANGLER will debut on DVD January 10, 2006 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film played festivals throughout 2004-5, including Montreal’s Fantasia.

“The DVD will include missing scenes, commentary by [star] Brittany Daniel and [lead psycho] Clifton Collins Jr. [currently playing another real-life murderer in CAPOTE], commentary by me and the DP [Eliot Rockett], cast/crew photos, etc.,” says Fisher, whose quasi-genre police thriller DIRTY (see item here) begins screening in LA next month. The complete specs for the HILLSIDE STRANGLER DVD, which will present the movie in widescreen with English and French 5.1 audio, are:

• Fisher and Rockett audio commentary
• Daniel and Collins audio commentary
• Deleted scenes
• Photo gallery
• Trailer

Amazon.com had a pre-release date of January 10th and now it's disappeared from their site. Does anybody know of another site where I can order this movie?

The movie would of been alot better if they didn't blur all the mature scenes and spin the *beep* camera around all the time.
