Annie had a mom in the original 78 and 81 movies. Zombie left her out. Did he not know it did he not care. He tends to enjoy writing his characters with broken families.

...I mean... There are quite a few differences between this one and the original besides that.

In the original series, Danielle Harris was Laurie's daughter but in this one she is her best friend. Lol
