For people who like this movie, which version is better to buy?

So difficult with this movie. I like both versions for different reasons. The theatrical cut has the MUCH better escape scene but the Director's Cut is much more fleshed out and has many nice little character moments that really add to the experience. In the theatrical cut Michaels is being transferred to another asylum and he breaks free and kills all the guards. In the director's cut two caretakers rape a female patient in Michael's cell and he kills them both. That's how he can escape from his cell and the asylum. Very stupid scene. I'd say go with the theatrical cut for the first time.
