Is there anybody else besides me that loves this movie?

Surely I'm not the only one

Normally I hate almot every remake that comes out but this one I really enjoyed. Same with its sequel.

Agreed. Though I don't love this one and think the second one is better.

This movie was one of the few remakes that i really enjoyed watching

reply

I liked it. The whole part before the breakout of an adult Michael was great.

This was the first horror movie I ever watched when I was 14, and I've been a sucker for horror; old and new ever since. I was pretty disappointed with the sequel though. Can't wait for 31!!!

I loved the last crap I took more than this film; it had more value, and was more intelligent. At least my crap didn't insult anyone, like this movie, which crapped on the memory of a classic horror film. Honestly, I find it UNBELIEVABLE that there are people out there that actually like this pig excrement. Really, it amazes me.. I'm sure you must HATE the original "Halloween," because that film is the polar opposite of THIS thing in every possible way..

Fabio Testi is GOD

reply

Nope. I love the original. It's one of my most favourite movies. But I realize, this is a remake, a reimagining and has nothing to do with the original. And there would be no point to copy what has been done before.

reply

It doesn't matter if it's a remake, a re-imagining, or a totally new and original film; no matter what it is, it's a rotten movie. I can't believe this played in theaters; much better films than this get made for home video only..

So your approach is to come and read that someone liked a film....and then both trash the film and the intelligence of the person that liked it? How about go to boards of films you DO like, instead of trashing someone one for having different tastes than you. You dumb *beep* The WHOLE POINT of this film is that it's NOT like the original. You talk of other's lack of intelligence....and that went right the hell over your head. Aren't you late for your ride on the short bus.....

I liked it and don't get the hate for it. One of the things that was awful about some of the sequels, was the mask. This mask was great and the actor playing Michael had great movement. I liked the backstory and setting.

reply

Yes. Loved the mask. This was actually one of the best looking. Also loved how they had a decayed mask.

reply

Agreed...I like it. I liked the backstory showing him as a 10 year-old with innocence turning into a psychopath. And overall just not as cheesy as all the original Halloween sequels. Don't get the hate...as another user posted, maybe it's a generation thing (I just turned 39).

I will say that I was highly disappointed in RZ's Halloween II. It was just a mess and really didn't bring much to the table. Was as bad as any of the original Halloween sequels...well most of them anyways

reply

Yep it was a stinker

reply

I prefer this to the OG Halloween

No you have gone too far
