Why was this shown on the SciFi channel?!?

Enquiring minds want to know.

because the channel has a deal to show crappy films that cost nothing at all to make (as goods from China) and sells them for a price that only a cable channel will pay as long as it "contains" good action sequences.
The company that distributes this crap has a secure sale and the viewers with a brain cell a headache in return.

Because this movie isn't top-notch, actually, it's crappy. I was so bored during the movie, that I walked out and did some homework, which is sad.

They're showing it now cause of Green Week which means they must show movies that talk about natural disasters for 7 days.

Wasn't a ghost.It was the actually gold miner and it wasn't a crooked sheriff it was Jake.The miner proved that.At the beginning he said 'Burn in hell' then later when Jake runs into him he says 'I told you to burn in hell...you didn't think it would be in your own forest did you?'

this was on air just now, used it to help me fall asleep for bed.
