sure..they put that yellow shirt on Akira as a nod to the fans of the original cartoon, but damn....this movie sucked hard!!!

Just watched this today and I couldn't finish it. nat43, who's review appears on the page, must've been watching a totally different movie. I agree with everything you posted, not to mention the horrible dialogue. The story wasn't very coherent either. Even my Japanese wife said this movie was terrible. Nat43, better than Spiderman and Blade 2?!? I think not...

Haha, Nat43 describes it as 'not that bad, no actually quite good" and then gives it 10/10!!! How can 'quite good' = 10/10?!?! Alarm bells rang for me at that point and I will never bother to watch this film. I know from the other reviews that it will be an insult to the anime.
