Fighting a lost cause?

The trouble with comics and the documentaries I have seen is that you will ALWAYS get the writers/artists whinge that the medium is NOT just for children and then try to justify it by using the MINORITY of adult oriented comics as some sort of proof. Just like kids grow out of eating *beep* of sweets, kids also grow out of reading comics. I do not know why they try to even fight it! For every Watchmen or Dark Knight theres 100 BS titles. TBH most of the superhero comics are just teen boy fantasies of being powerful and having ridiculously good looking people unleash lots of violence...Well we cannot really blame the audience...but you CAN blame the creators as some come across as messed up to say the least - Steve Ditko, Frank Miller, Howard Chaykin and even Alan Moore
