can anyone tell me why the guy in the river was killed?i missed the part where they said why he was killed can anyone please answer me A.S.A.P?

the woman was kidnapped and her husband was killed n thrown in the river so no one could find him.when the woman disappeared many ppl said that her husband killed her but that was not true because his body was found later in the river by Brooke and Jess they met a guy who told them he used to be a guide but now he isnt .a tape was send saying that the kidnapper of the lost woman needs money but Jesse and Brooke found him n they saved the girl after the kidnapper tried to shoot them but failed. (why did this guy kidnap her in first place n was he the same one who klled her husband?)
wow, that was from season one! I think if I remember correctly that she was kidnapped because of naturalists. See her family was going to put up something that some naturists felt were wrong. So they had her kidnapped and hoped to force her family into backing out of the deal.
They killed her husband I think because they wanted control and with him around they had none. Hope this helps. It was from long ago so I might be wrong:)
