Racist? What's wrong with Livingdog

This movie was pretty bad but to call it racist is silly. I just saw it and wanted to look up Kelly Hu and Rosalyn Sanchez when I saw his critique which it terrible. I can see you comparing it to maybe "Dangerous Minds" or "Take the Lead" but to Birth of a Nation? Have you ever seen Birth of a Nation. It would take a real biggot to say that, the black KKK; no such thing. Someone on IMDb finally took their hood off. Those who are upset that people keep calling Asian actresses ugly...Livingdog is one of your perpetrators.

I agree, but there is such thing as the "Black KKK". I think they're named "The Black Panthers". However they really only "defend", ... using armed weapons.

PS Asians can definetly be hot

The Black Panthers are definitely not the "Black KKK." Please do a little history research because I don't have the patience to sit here and explain to you the world of difference between the KKK and the Black Panthers.

reply

Hon, there really isn't a difference. Sure the Black Panthers are against racism, but they do promote equality with gunfire. It's kind of a double negative. Besides, they really had their big time in the 60's and 70's. It's not like the mass population is still overtly racially active what with our "political correctness". Let people believe what they want to believe. It's america, *beep* it. You can kill a person, but you can't kill an idea.

Did you honestly just say that the mobbing, lynching, cross-burning history of the KKK isn't different from the black panthers? Lol, wow... Let me just say that the thought, or notion, of even one poor soul who happened by this forum by accident on a dark and lonely night while in a drunken stupor even possibly, on the smallest level, taking away from the last post the belief that something like that may be shared by all people, or in this case, white people, scares me more than the idea of a sequel to this film. When I read a statement like that, the ignorance of the world becomes so apparent.

reply

"there really isn't a difference. Sure the Black Panthers are against racism"...the 2nd part of that statement totally opposes the first part...if black panthers are against racism, then of course there is a difference.

reply

Have the Black Panthers ever actually shot anyone?

reply

What are you, an idiot? Read the entire sentence before taking something out of context.

Hey, how about you guys go discuss this on the Black Panther/KKK discussion forum.

How about Nation of Islam?

The movie is racist. The only reason you look past that is because when blacks make racial jokes, its okay. When whites do it,its frowned upon. You cannot look to the past as justification for racial prejudice.

The only prejudice thing I saw in the five minutes I saw was the portrayal of rugby. It's not that hard a game but everytime I see a scrum in american films or television I wonder how many got killed during rehearsal.
