Wasn't Dalia lama a dictator who enslave all those Tibetans??

I just read that in addition to the facts that he enslaved, tortured, and killed his own citizens, he is also a liar. You see, the Dalai Lama likes to act like a nice, peaceful guy, but, aside from the already not so nice and peaceful things already mentioned, he was also being given millions of dollars a year by the CIA to overthrow the Chinese government in Tibet. The nice peaceful man started in essence a war, and began killing people using terror campaigns, all so he could be dictator again. Come to think of it, I would rather have the PRC in charge, at least they don’t play themselves of as kind religious monks, when all they want is power. The Dalai Lama is just a fake making money of stupid people like Richard Geere to get his cool house back and re-enslave the population to do his personal bidding.

You just act by logic of the system that you cant se that you are the slave of.
Try to understand evrything as impermenant and you will have no more bad judgments on high quality people and deeds that they comited.

It's important to understand that the Tibetan government before 1950 was not monolithic. The DL was so young and inexperienced that it is hard to fault him for most of what happened pre-1950.

That being said, Tibet pre-CCP rule was not a wonderful land of flowers and sunshine and kittens, of course. It was a feudal society where citizens were engaged in a relationship to the state that was pretty much akin to serfdom, and had to give up much for the religio-political government. Tibet pre-CCP was a theocracy composed of a collection of monestaries which owned most of the land.

Interestingly enough, some of the leaders of these monestaries were sympathetic to Chinese rule. Not all of course, and maybe not even a good majority, but there were some.

Why doesn't anyone ever ask pro-Tibetan posters if they are Tibetan. It works both ways you know. As if only socialist regimes put out propaganda.

reply

No, mate. I am British.

I am just being skeptical, if you know what the word "skeptical" means. That is when everyone is saying that how "Holy" the Dalia Lama is, you should ask yourself is he really a God like person, and never did he once do evil. Appearantly I have found evidence that says he is just like everyone else. He admitted himself that he had taken money from the CIA to fund Tibetan Guerrilla Training Camps inside China. Pretty Peaceful and Holy, don't you think?

Before the Chinese took over Tibet, the old Tibet was a feudal society. The Dalia Lama was the ultimate ruler. He had a palace, hundreds of servants, and power. No wonder he wants it back. The people in Tibet back in the Dalia Lama days were basically slaves. They would receive capital punishments for minor crimes, like cutting off hands for stealing. When the Chinese threw him and the Lama Class out of Tibet, the communists brought in Education, Water, and other good things. Of course, there were problems such as freedom of speech, political prisoners, and the whole *beep* up Communism thing. But remember, the lesser of two evil is still evil and the enemy of my enemy, is not my friend.

Well That sums up my point of starting this blog. And to tell you the truth, I believe that it is really sad, that those people are being used to try to get the Dalia Lama back in power, cause he is just another power-hungry vulture, trying to crawl back to his nest.

What is being ignored here is that the Dalai Lama is not trying to regain control of Tibet. He is not even working for independence. All he is asking for is autonomy.

The Chinese might have done some good in Tibet if they had merely reformed the old system. But their pathological hatred of religion combined with a racist attitude toward non-Chinese has led them to try to erase Tibetan culture and reduce the Tibetan people to an underclass in their own country.

By the way, I am not Tibetan.

"He is not even working for independence."

Right. Correct. He adjusted his position to advocate for meaningful autonomy some time in the mid-late 1990s, but of course for 40 years before that he was all about independence. Now the DL is willing to settle for autonomy, but many Tibetans in exile still are not, and many are a bit raw about the DL bending to Chinese pressure.

Beyond that, the DL likes to talk about how the Chinese need to come to the table with no pre-conditions, but the DL himself has his own pre-conditions that he brings, so I find it somewhat disingenuous.

isn´t this the same post posted on the board of every movie that has to do with HH the Dalai Lama? I have just seen it also on the Kundun board! What a way China has of trying to get a message across...

I normally don't indulge in ad hominem, but I feel I should mention that Michael Parenti is an avowed communist, marxist, Maoist, Stalinist. He certainly has integrity (no irony there) - he still promotes all of the above after the failures of both Maoism (which has now become capitalism) and Stalinism (let's blame that on capitalism).
The point is, that article is in no way objective, if that counts for something.

But then I don't believe this movie was either.

Wanting PRC to control another country... it might be good to look at what China's communist regime does to its own citizens before wishing that on anyone.

A report by Canadian lawyers found the PRC's regime are harvesting organs from live prisoners:

(or google "falun" and "organs")

Dalai Lama's Regious persecution and Human right's abuses!

My interest is of the Dorje Shugdan issue - the Buddhist diety practised by the Gelug and Sakya schools of Tibetan Buddhsim for over 300 years. Millions of Buddhist across the world carry out the practice of an ancient well loved prayer to the Buddhist Deity Dorje Shugden.

The Dalai Lama has illegally banned this prayer even though he himself practiced it for most of his life and was taught to him by his Spiritual Guide before him. Since banning the prayer in 1996, the Dalai Lama has set about instigating and endorsing a series of non-democratic and vehement campaigns toward Shugden practitioners causing tremendous pain and great schisms within the Buddhist community worldwide.

His campaign has intensified since January this year when over a 1000 monks were unconstitutionally expelled from their monasteries, Tibetans-in-exile were forcibly intimidated to engage in public signature and swearing campaigns, and since which Shugden devotees have experienced having identity cards and visa applications withheld, they have been denied basic needs and necessities such as food, water and medical assistance, and there have been instances of thuggish attacks against persons and arson against their property simply because they wish to maintain their spiritual beliefs.

DALAI LAMA CONTINUES TO CAMPAIGN FOR SUPPORT TO SEEK RELIGIOUS FREEDOM FROM THE CHINESE. YET, MILLIONS OF SHUGDEN PRACTITONERS WORLDWIDE ARE ALSO SEEKING RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - FROM THE DALAI LAMA!

The Indian media has covered this since 1996. Diety discrimimation (which exactly is what Dalai Lama's actions are ) breaks India's constitutional law and persecution and discrimination on religious ground breaks Article 14 of Human Rights Act.

After tremendous suffering resulting from the systematic discrimination and persecution at the hands of Dalai Lama and the TGIE, the Shugden practitioners have started court proceedings against the Dalai Lama and Kalon Tripa Samdhong (Tibetan prime minister) on the grounds of religious persecution. The court proceeding started on the 12th of September. For more information please see; http://www.wisdombuddhadorjeshugden.blogspot.com/2008/09/pressure-mounts-on-dalai-lama-to-solve.html
