Disappointed

I watched Sucker Free City and was disappointed with the ending seeing as how they left a lot of loose ends. But then I came here and saw that it was suppose to be a pilot for a TV series to be picked up by showtime.

Once I found that out I found myself to be even more disappointed. I think Sucker Free City could've and would've been a very good series. I thought the Pilot/Movie was very captivating and enthralling. It was very interesting and I definately would've watched it if there had in fact been a series.

The character development was good enough to the point that I was interested in seeing what would happen to Keith and the V Dubs and whatnot. But now I guess we'll never know...

Sorry we couldn't trick you today. Here's some pictures of your broken head

yep, i was also disappointed..i didnt know it was supposed to be a pilot for a tv show, so i as really like "WTF" when the credits rolled..this is a movie that i wished would have kept rolling or another hour or so..if they woulda went further with a mini-series, i would have definitely have watched it.its too bad they didnt, as it would woulda made a good one...

I hoped that it would become a series, but it made for a good movie. The only thing bothered me a bit was the asian girl in the film. I feel as if she doesn't deserve to date the Stanford med school guy. I have a feeling that if it became a series, that relationship wouldn't have lasted because the truth would have come out about her. I think that was what Spike was working towards. Much like the Ray Allen/Rosario Dawson relationship break-up in He Got Game.

I knew the SFC was supposed to be a series by Showtime because I was an extra in the "movie." I'm the one, in a beige shirt big blue jeans holding a pink bag of oranges, while Ken Leung (Lincoln) was talking to his buddy about the pirate CDs through the alleyway before getting picked up by head boss's lackey. (I was also in the basketball scene but cannot be seen).

I didn't realize it was turned into a movie until a few days I heard when it would debut. From what I heard, Showtime wanted Spike Lee, not only direct the pilot, but the whole series. He refused......thus, why SFC became a movie.
