Louis Kahn was Brilliant

Simply listen to what he said about art/architechture.

“A Work of Art
... is not a living thing ...
that walks or runs.
But the making of a life.
That which gives you a reaction.
To some it is the wonder of Man's Fingers.
To some it is the wonder of the Mind.
To some it is the wonder of Technique.
And to some it is how Real it is.
To some, how Transcendent it is.

Like the 5th Symphony
it presents itself with a feeling
that you know it, if you have heard it once.
And you look for it,
and though you know it you must hear it again.
Though you know it you must see it again.
Truly a work of Art is one that tells us,
that Nature cannot make what man can make.” -Louis Kahn.

If you disagree, simply read it over again, and think about the words, and how beautiful they are, and how they are filled with such wisdom.

My Architect was a wonderful movie.

Truly a work of Art is one that tells us,that Nature cannot make what man can make.- L Kahn

I agree with your sentiment, and I believe the film was the work of another genious, Nathaniel Kahn. I would love for this film to catapult Nathaniel into a profitable and fulfilling career - he deserves as such.

Poetry doesn't do much for me usually,
but I can really connect with Kahn's architecture.
Particularly the Bangladeshi National Assembly
Parliament building. There is something really
amazing about that building, as if something
super-human designed it because it is so big
and so amazing in its spacial complexity.

I don't know if the two facilities, talking about
architecture in a moving way, or doing architecture
in a moving way ... does one imply the other ?

I don't know, but some architecture and arrangements
or space and matter are inspiring.
