shareit's interesting to me because for years i have seen the trailer for this every time i play my layer cake dvd but never actually saw the film. today i came here out of curiosity; don't know why it took 14 years for me to get curious about it lol
but these are some fascinating threads. and i also find it poignant to ponder stephen chow from today compared to back then. to me, that was the very cusp of the movie fulcrum, when filmdom was about to change HUGELY and for forever. 2004-5 are stuck in my mind as the apex point of when movies held their highest importance. soon after that, the whole culture was turned on its head due mainly to two things: 1-technology 2-social media/habits
so yeah, this movie (or just the trailer for me, as it were) is kinda like a little time capsule that harkens back to the glory days.
