Superb Film

Do you ever wonder what goes through people's minds when they write reviews? I do. Reading the comments on Flesh for the Beast, one can only conclude that the reviewers watched a completely different film; and perhaps they did (when you have eliminated the possible, what remains, however improbable, must be the truth).

The superb acting, intelligent script and high production values exhibited by ‘Flesh for the Beast’ must surely equal, if not excel, other major films within its own genre such as 'The Innocents', 'The Exorcist', 'Dog Soldiers', 'Sixth Sense' etc; and the mounting tension that brings one to fever pitch must surely surpass 'Aliens'. I would dearly like to see someone attempt an intelligent rebuttal of this, but I dare not hold my breath.

I venture to suggest that most viewers’ feelings matched my own: 'Spellbound', 'Entranced', 'Enraptured'& 'Riveted' are a few descriptions that immediately spring to mind.

The director must be congratulated for producing a film that will one day be regarded as a classic, in the same mould as 'Citizen Kane' or 'The Third Man'. Further, I predict a bright future for most of the cast. You may feel that I am exaggerating slightly in my praise, but with the amount of scorn poured on the director's head, one day he may truly lay claim to the motto: 'Per ardua ad astra'.

I agree to the point and say it is a really enjoyable film, and the acting is actually quite good for a low budget flick.
But to say its a classic like Citizen Kane is somewhat VERY over the top.
