people actually thought this film was good?

i came across this film on netflix and i have to say that i'm EXTREMELY surprised there are people who thought this film was good. the only reason i even looked it up was because i thought the guy who played marc was hot.

but seriously, the story was had no substance. it featured a bunch of shallow, unlikable and diluted characters. the acting was horribly unconvincing, especially from caleb's parents. and the dialogue was littered with more f-bombs and other expletives that it was hard to take what anyone said seriously.

now, i tend to steer clear of gay movies because they tend to be half-baked, vulgar or just plain stupid and this movie pretty much reminded me why i avoided the genre to begin with. i will admit that there were a couple of scenes that made me giggle but overall this movie only deserves a low 2 star out of five rating. if you want a gay movie that's actually GOOD i suggest you check out BEAUTIFUL BOXER and WERE THE WORLD MINE because EATING OUT just isn't worth watching, imo.

My first bf took me to watch the movie, and I walked out of it 20mins in. This movie turned me off of gay cinema for a while.

I wasn't impressed with this one either. I did stumble onto the third one last night and watched it and really liked it and surprised to see it was a sequel so I went back and watched the first one and didn't like it at all. Surprising thing is, most people love the first one and second one and hate the third one. Of course...as usual I have to be different.

I'm off to watch the second one. We'll see.

Has anyone ever told you you're as boring as you are ugly?
