Anyone else have a problem with the audio?

I don't know if I got a bad DVD or they're all like this, but the sound was terrible. There were many times when the audio went completely out and yet the actor's lips continued to move. At other times the volume level would fluctuate up and down for no apparent reason. And yes, we know it's set during a hurricane, but was it really necessary to drown out dialogue with the sound of rain? Ugh. Very sloppy work.
