...Good God, I just saw a clip of her singing "Vois Sur Ton Chemin" at the Oscars - it's a horrible interpretation. She's a phenomenal talent, but she's totally the wrong person to sing that song.

I agree 100%. She is a great singer but her version of Vois Sur Ton Chemin was absolutely awful, in my opinion.

Yeah, me too. I just saw the video and it was so awful I actually felt a bit embarrassed for her. Just how many times did she say "yeah", singing a French song? And her accent... argh.
sharepretty much destroyed the song, nothing about her style, voice, singing technique--absolutely NOTHING fits. It's like having a Chinese opera singer sing an American pop song, or having Lady Gaga sing Italian opera. It sounds stupid.
Apparently JB Maunier was at the Oscars, why couldn't they let him sing?! There are some songs that shouldn't be covered, because the original singer had done it to perfection already.
