The failure of this restaurant

The failure of this restaurant was set when Rocco gradated from The Culinary Institute . My experience with the CIA was short but told me a lot about the school. I was working on a story about candy and was given the name of Mr. Metz the head of the school. I gave him a call and ran into his secretary . I never ran into anyone who was as disconnected as she. I could not get a question out before her over authoritarian would stop me. I have dealt with all the major universities in the United States and in Europe and never ran into such a negative response.

The CIA it seems to me gives a false understanding of the food business to keep the student interested and paying tuition. Unfortunately we do not have the European education methods for our chefs. The Americans try to make money at everything they do and they cause a lot of waste in money and effort.

I dunno, the owner of the catering company i used to work for graduated from the Restaurant School in Philadelphia, and his food is outstanding, plus his client list is insane. If i had the $ to, i would definately have him cater my wedding/birthday/etc. But every person/school is different.

This leads to my question...what is your experience with European Culinary Schools?

His other restaurant, Union Pacific, was doing great business and receiving wonderful reviews. I think the whole reality show thing got to his head and inflated his ego.

Over the past 4 years since his both restaurants shut down, he has gotten plastic surgery, hosted a defunt radio show, made appearances on several reality shows, hawked himself on QVC, became a spokesman for Bertolli frozen entrees, and went dancing with the stars.

It seems as if he's afraid to go back in the kitchen, but with his new show, Rocco Gets Real, perhaps there's a light at the end of the tunnel for him.
