EBAY always has many listings for Anime, I've seen a 2 Disc DVD set for a cheap 9.00 you can't beat that. Lovely show.

I Love This Show So Much!

I downloaded the SNES game a while back, the game is like the series too, I especially like having to choose the different cyborgs.

Or you could just get it off Deep Discount DVD for $3.99.

Too bad the rest of the series hasn't been relased on DVD in the USA. Legally, anyway.

I got a double disc w/ 8 episode with specials at Big Lots for......get this........$2.00. Snatched it up in a heart beat. Only thing I could find wrong with it was the main menu dident have a cursor so you arent sure what features you are accesing but its not a big issue.

I'VE FALLEN AND I CANT GET UP!
I REFUSE TO GET UP!

Yeah, and I pretty much blame Columbia/Sony Pictures for not releasing the rest of the series.

I mean, something like Cyborg 009 should at least get a DVD box set like the other complete animes out there. Atleast give other people the chance to see all of it. I only seen half of it, but I did read a few offical sources that the whole series is dubbed from what I know.

Question is when will another anime company get hold of the right of the english dub and re-release the whole series on 2 seperate box sets.

I just started to watch this and I can't believe they haven't released all of the episodes yet!!! I hope they'll come out one day...

Same here. I wonder if Funimation would be able to obtain both the English dub and the original Japanese dub of the anime. They have distributed a few anime they didn't dubs of but made DVD sets out of them.

reply

Yeah I wonder if this will ever get a proper dvd release...

Funimation would be a great fit for this. The series was popular, and it had a good amount of American exposure, thanks partly to its airing on the Cartoon Network. Seems like it would be a real money maker.

Today Funimation has obtain DVD licensing to a good number of Anime that was previously own or half own by another company.

I picked up the 2-disk set at, of all places, dollar tree.

Too bad it'll probably never see the release it deserves. If they released the entire series on dvd or blu-ray, I'd pick it up in a heart beat.
