Why do you think Jeffrey told her?

I always thought this was a petty move on his part. Some people just get off on hurting people. Did he just want to make her miserable because it appeared she moved on and wasn't carrying a torch for him anymore? Or did he want the wedding to be broken up and figured that was a way to do it? Maybe he was just a jerk and wanted someone as miserable as he was....

I never really understood that part either...the timing was particularly terrible since she was *just* starting to move on from him, and I do think that was his main motive for telling her. If he wanted to break up the wedding, he could have told his best friend outright that he slept with Amy, since there was no real guarantee that Kat would tell him or anyone else (and she didn't, because she wasn't petty like that). So I'd just say he was a giant jerk and just wanted to rain on Kat's parade. Also, he seemed super jealous of Nick from the beginning, talking behind his back to Ed about how Nick was "walking around like he owns the place" or whatever it was he said.

I figured he thought it would stop the wedding. He probably though Kat would tell the groom out of spite

he was a major ahole, there was no need to tell her. he either wanted to rain on her parade or unburden himself because he felt guilty

I'm still unclear as to why SOMEBODY didn't tell her long before Jeffrey did. Like her cousin, for example. Kat spent years grieving for that lost relationship, and it would have helped her to know what a true slime Jeffrey was and realize what a bullet she dodged.

reply

Nobody told her because it would've damamged her relationship with her sister. He didn't cheat with just anyone but with her sister, who she had a difficult relationship with.

reply

Or get her to wreck her sister's wedding, or all three.

reply

Well, it certainly wasn't because he was feeling guilty. I feel that it was for the sole purpose of hurting Kat, because he was angry over the fact that she had moved on.

"Never mind walking a mile in my shoes. Try thinking a day in my head."

reply

His character was a bit all over the place, I mean at some point he must have been a decent guy who Kat to agree to marry him.

reply

Agreed. He was still a jerk but I really think it was because he was tired of feeling guilty and just let it slip. He would obviously not want to tell his best friend since he is going to marry her.
