Towards the end, when the hefty stranger truck driver grabs the boy and picks him up bodily, grinning and yelling "meat" "meat," as if "new meat," it seemed like he was up to something bad, kidnapping or going to molest the boy. I assume from the rest of the movie that didn't happen but he just gave the boy a ride? So why did he act that way and yell that? Thanks
shareHe was just goofing around while likely drunk. There was no malevolence intended in the character. Just a funny truck driver. He had a funny pronunciation in Russian too - made me laugh a lot.
shareI don't speak Russian, but have an ear for the sound of it from watching a lot of Russian movies. I noticed the way he pronounced "Black Sea". It seemed very clear to me, actually, even though I could tell he was exaggerating the pronunciation.
