Christian Slater as a Priest???

I couldn't even begin to watch this... how out there is it for him to play a man of the cloth... Its too f*ed up for me to comprehend, he is a woman beater and a drunk... c'mon did his mom give him the roll or what?

reply

ok you know him personally dont you know that journalists love to spread lies or amplify stories to sell they *beep* magasines and no matter what christian slater does in his personal life who are you to critisize him are you that unhappy

reply

Uhh... I'm sorry the journalists made up Christian Slater's arrest???

I was just commenting on how ironic it is to have someone who served jail time for beating up his girlfriend portray a priest....

reply

Would you rather Roman Polanski?

I think that would be closer to a Catholic Priest.

reply

Very true...

YOU'D BEST USE A DICTIONARY AND A BOOK ON ENGLISH GRAMMAR BEFORE MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF!

reply

don't be so naive and stupid. he is no more a priest than you have brains.

I just caught the movie last night on Showtime.........not bad, really. I am a Christian Slater fan though. As for (bad-acting good actors; I know an oxymoron) how about Bing Crosby playing a priest. Just read his son's Gary's book: wife beater; child beater; drunk. So let's not cast stones lol.

When you think about it, is it any different to a really good, clean-living actor playing nasty person in a movie? Apparently, Bing Crosby was not a very good person, but he was totally convincing as a priest in "Going My Way;" similarly, Montgomery Clift in "I Confess."

As for Slater, did he not play some kind of monk in "The Name of the Rose?"

reply

That's why it's called acting...
