Versatile Christian Slater, leave his personal life out of it!

Its only a movie! And my opinion is that Christian Slater has a pretty transparent type of acting. I think no role HAS he aced well enough, like Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie & other MEMORABLE parts. It actually makes him easier to put in various decent film parts because I can't link him predominately to any one outstanding performance. I'm sure others will disagree that he has many memorable appearances, but I remember his face but not his acting in any certain role. My grade I give this movie is a solid B.

I agree that this was a decent movie and that Slater was believable as a priest. I think he did a good job in the way he changed from a fixer for the archbishop to a parish pastor in an inner city church.

I can't picture Slater as a priest. It just didn't work for me. He did a decent job though, much better than I thought he would've.. But overall, I think he was miscast in this film. It was a pretty good movie though.
