I HOPE IT'S BETTER THAN THE TV SHOW
I'm just hoping that the movie is better than the TV show. In my opionion I didn't really like it. I just hope that it's better than the TV show.

i loved the tv show... both series too...i didnt think i would like the second with it not having the same actors but i got addicted to it

This is an animated film that was produced for children between the age of 3 and 8.
Alyssa Milano is very cute as 26, Jamie Kennedy plays Spazz who is a newborn who is impossible to handle, Kathy Griffin and Wayne Knight are the bumbling dino-henchmen for Malcolm McDowell who plays Ogthar (a character loosely taken from the books), Michael Clarke Duncan is a T-Rex in distress who is helped by 26 and her friends, and George Segal, Diedrich Bader, Tara Strong, Gregg Berger, Alec Medlock round out a wonderful cast that was a pleasure to work with.
It will be in theaters in the second or third quarter of next year in the States and shortly after in foreign territories.
What do you mean two series? I thought that there was only that live-action show that bombed.
sharewell there is the series which tell the story of them arriving and coping, david learning how to ride a skybax and karl turning a lil bad... then there is the second series which doesnt star the original cast, but i liked it...after seeing it all... that series brings in new characters, and they find a way to come home...

Why did they have to ruin such a great idea? Have any of you every seen the Dinotopia book from way back? It was amazing, especially the art work. Then the tv show just bollocksed the entire concept. I really wish they'd leave the whole thing alone...
shareI thought the two books and the kid's series were very good books. I think they should have left it as that. Having a regular cast for Dinotopia just doesn't work...Dinotopia is not about two people, it's about a huge group of people who make their society work in peace. I think that's part of what screwed up the show, by having a regular cast...the whole island is like a bar...everyone's had their own adventures in life and they've all got a story that's worth listening to.
shareI enjoyed the series and I really want it on DVD but I agree that having a regular cast doesn't work and I wouldn't have changed the cast. Would it really have been hard to get everyone back? I would even think this couldn't be made into a TV series but a bunch of mini-series all featuring different periods in Dinotopia history.
