His character goes overboard with how much of a dick he is!

Uh, except when he's TOTALLY warming to the black cab driver and basically jokes about sex with his daughter with him. Right....

OK but how do you explain his sarcasm to the check in lady at the hotel, or slapping the Shriner's hat off, or his rudeness to the wedding planner? He's a dick!

The format is like meet the parents. You gotta have a difficult dad in these kind of movies.....

He seemed rather "tolerant" to me but that's only because our father (veteran turned Chicago cop) opened the door with his gun in his hand. I think all fathers think about confronting their daughters' future partners the moment they come into the world.
