italian

at the beggining of the film when bourne goes to italy he is taken into an office and then a guy from the us embassy comes and starts questioning him and he doesn't speak at all, the embasy guy asks a policeman something in italian. Does anyone know what he asks him??

reply

I didn't understand because I don't speak Italian but I always assumed he asks if Jason said something before.

It’s just so sad that the variety of the world should be used as a contentious issue.

reply

I think it is something along the lines of has he spoken since he arrived, or taken something.... not sure.

Thank you Panzer for answering the question.

Also, does anyone know *why* Jason was playing "mute" with the authorities in Naples? The way he stared, and remained mute like that, I almost wonder if he was fed up with everything, and since his girlfriend got killed, he sort of coming back with a bigger vengeance in his heart.

any thoughts?

he was focused on his plan, waiting everything out methodically until the authorities eventually got the call so he could trace it. but yea i bet he was definitely pissed off too :p

He asks, "Has he said anything?"

reply

Sounds like he says, "Ha detto qualcosa?" meaning, "Has he said something?"
