Bill Patterson gone AWOL

Bill Patterson is still credited with the lead role in this series but he's hardly been in it. He's just about had a cameo in each episode. Why is this? Did he not want to return and the BBC offered him a deal where he hardly had to appear, has he been ill or is there another reason?

If you posted this 33 minutes ago you are missing one of the most Bill Patterson heavy episodes of this season!

That movie has warped my fragile little mind.

lol, it was a fun episode.

Apparently he was ill during filming which would explain why he's hardly in this series but he was in last night's episode loads. It was an excellent episode too. I loved Paul McGann as Christopher Chambers. I hope they do another series and he comes back from time to time.

well he did say he'd be back at the end. it was a good ending episode, I forgot how funny Douglas could be, like when the came barging into his house and he said something like "Im much better thankyou" that was funny, then when Craig was fixing the lights and added a bit of drama and he said "get down of the chair Craig" . lol - the show needs more of that.

why does it have to be serious? and I can still think of rational explanations for the succubus thing the dog AND the electrical thing too. so there!
sea of souls has never been serious even in the 2nd series, I mean with the poltergeist etc, but its a bit of fun, the scripts are good and the characters are easy to watch and likable.

well the demon sucubus was good because you know, who knows if he just completly dreamt it all. but the dream on with the student, that was my least favorite episode.

I agree. I don't think Sea Of Souls should be completely practical. I prefer episodes that test the boundaries of the magical world. With serious episodes, they do drag on and there aren't as many jumps.

yep, exactly. its just a bit of fun, and I love it, as long as the acting stays good and all the characters stay, I'll still be a fan.

Maybe it really was just a combination of too much wine, a dream and (to quote Justine) "Post Tandoori Stress Disorder"? We never saw any evidence of Paul being dead did we? Maybe the baby is his and Sarah found this out just in time and decided to let Craig live. I think she is the leader of the two women.
