The Black Dahlia already came out weeks ago, so why is this film about the SAME person, with the SAME title, coming out in the SAME year as the other film? On top of that Black Dahlia Avenger is coming out in 2008 and The Curse of the Black Dahlia is also coming out this year, but straight to video.

Who knows. This film though was started before any of the others, and looks like the most surreal and tripped out take on Elizabeth Short. Also from its website it looks like the only movie that actually focused on the girl as opposed to theories about the crime. According to their site and to imdb, this movie is called 'Black Dahlia Movie' now. I bet that by the end of next year there will have been at least 5 or 6 movies about this subject because the rest of Hollywood jumps on the bandwagon. This one probably never got their stuff together fast enough to come out before the rest. At least it doesn't look like a copycat. Again, who knows?

Well considering that De Palma's Black Dahlia failed with big name actors I doubt this is going to do well.
