Anyone know what it is?

Enough said.

It seems to be a remake, I saw the 1936 version of it
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0028102/

there was a earlier one aswell, I guess it would be called a romantic/comedy, I liked it and it starred Robert Montgomery father of Elizabeth Montgommery.

This is a new movie- based on the book by P.G. Wodehouse, the premiere comic writer of the 20th century. I have the book (haven't read it yet) which looks great. Heck, all of Wodehouse's stuff is great.

I shall owe thee an answer for that...

I watched this film during its post-production state and to be honest, it was one of the worse films I've ever seen. It's such a shame though, because it got some actors I truly admire (eg Wilkinson), and one would have thought a director could have made something out of this novel. But unfortunately the film comes across as an appalling mix between the Austin Powers films and Gosford Park. I'm sure this film will be marketed as a comedy, although the whole thing is utter farce, from what happens on the screen, to the actors performances, and the way it is directed. Be warned, do never ever go and see this film since this will ruin your day, I promise. How such actors as Rockwell and Wilkinson agreed to star in this rubbish is completely flabbergasting.

I think it's really unfair to judge a film so harshly based on an unfinished rough cut. A lot can change before it reaches its final version. Despite your comments, I will be flocking to the theatre along with millions of other Wodehouse fans, all hoping that your assessment is wrong.

From your comments, I'm guessing that you're not really familiar with P. G. Wodehouse. I invite you to read the book PICCADILLY JIM, and see if it alters your opinion of the film.

I liked it....Picalee...Picaloo....lol...there were alot of good lines in it...

But there was something strange about the quality of the film. It was like they used a camcorder or something to film it.
