fails at iron man concept

main power source, unshielded right in center of bodymass

granted, im far from expert in iron man comics, heck it was my least favorite of the whole bunch
but going from the movies, thats where the power source and basis of the whole exoskeleton is ...
might aswell paint a bullseye with flashing signs >SHOOT HERE PLEASE<

Looks cool tho. That's the main thing.

Let's not forget Tony's line about how "it's not really Iron". 🙂 Anyway, not only does it look ultra cool, but it's remarkably badass.

Fails at Iron Man concept - arguable.

Succeeds at keeping Robert Downey Jr. employed - undeniable.

After reading some Iron Man comics from the 60s, it is pretty close to the source material.

I presume there's something other than glass over the power source that lights up.

Call Marvel on it and they'd probably say Stark invented transparent adamantium.

Comic book Iron Man traditionally had two power cells, they were two discs that were attached on his left and right hips. He had built-in redundancy that would have saved Rhodey in "Civil War", and I was hoping for a redesign of the cinematic armor that would bring it inline with the comic book design. There was never a need for War Machine's power source to be in the chest, anyways. The glowy thing in the comic book armor's chest was a light source / weapon / etc. and not its power source.
