Don't bother signing up to be notified. I saw this 3 years ago in Boston, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I thought it was so funny, so clever, so profoundly provocative. I immediately signed up to be notified. I even emailed Ronald Whitney to ask him when it would be on dvd (no reply). I just can't understand it. With all the tripe that gets released, this amazing film, which is one of the smartest parodies of reality television, voyeurism and the extent to which people will go to be famous, is still a hidden jewel. I have been eagerly awaiting the alleged sequels (CA? Bible Belt?) but it looks like Whitney lost interest or something because if you go to that website, it looks the same now as it did 3 years ago, after I first saw the film.
It's a shame. If there is anyway, you can get find a copy of the film, it's worth it - a truly amazing piece of art.
