Will this movie be translated also?
Does anybody know if this movie will also be translated? Asterix is a great series, along with Tintin.

shareWhat about the German-named "Asterix in Amerika", produced in Germany but with English as its original language? I wouldn't be surprised if "Asterix et les Vikings" is being shot in English, given is perceived status as the "official" international language.
And as for IMDB stating "Language: French", since when was IMDB right about everything? ;)

Even if it IS french, they will probably translate it. I mean, Asterix (hey, don't forget about Obelix:P) is very popular. And all the other movies have been translated into MANY languages, so I can't see why this one should be an exception. Too bad it's released in '06, that's all I can say. Ah! The yearning, the anticipation:D

It is pretty normal that European animated features are animated to fit the English soundtrack, this is also the case with "Asterix and the Vikings".
shareYes and sadly IMDB does not see fit to credit the English language voice/over performers! They were quite satisfactory.
