Which was better -- Season One or Season Two

My family and I where big fans of "Wild Card" in Season One but lost interest in Season Two.

Mainly, the murders got too graphic for my wife (she's very sensitive that way) and it wasn't has much fun without the romantic sub-plot between Marcos and Dan.

Also, I really liked the "Sophie" co-worker character (and her subplot) and didn't like the new boss.

[That's partly my personal issue - I'm very tired of the "gruff-but-snappy-black-female-authority-figure" stereotype that seems to be in every movie and TV series in the last decade.]

But I assume we are in a minority to prefer the first season -- otherwise, why would they have changed it so much?

We preferred season one too. It was more of a family show and my kids loved the stories with the kids on the show but in season 2 that changed. I wonder why they made that decision. That being said, it was still better than a lot of shows on now! I hope it comes back in reruns again.

I liked Season 1 a lot more than Season 2. Rae Dawn Chong's character was fun to watch. They should have kept her on the show.
