Yes! I got the DVD today(wednesday July 6th). I haven't started watchig it yet. But i will now, just as soon as i'm finished writing this.

As soon as i had ripped the plastic off the cover i opened it and a pleasant surprise was revealed. A big picture of John K. around all his cartoon characters and some big letters on the top that said: "To My Best Friend" and an empty spot for you to write your name. I flipped it and started reading. Now here's the SPOILER everyone. If you do not want to know what it says you better stop reading immediately. I suggest you do, as it's meant to be a surprise. But if it for some bizarre reason is missing or you've lost it(for shame), you can read it here.

I don't think John's the one to be thankful. The man has once again proved that he is to be considered a cartoon genius. Thank YOU John K.
Well, i've seen all episodes. The first episode on disc 1 was the unaired "Naked Beach Frenzy". It was funny throughout with a mix of disgusting jokes...and even more disgusting jokes, perfect. Then followed Stimpy's Pregnant. Part 1 was easily the next best episode on the DVD set. What kept it from being perfect was a horrible Part 2 that lasted 10 min. and it was combined with Part 1. You'll notice when Part 2 begins. It was pretty much like Onward and Upward. But not to worry because it was followed by the best episode in the seri...Hell, the best R & S episode ever, I am talking about "Altruists" which lasted about 40 min. All episodes came with a neat introduction by John K.
On disc 2 we find the aired episodes. "Onward & Upward", "Ren Seeks Help" and "Firedogs 2". Of the three only "Ren Seeks Help" stands out as a funny episode.
The extras on the DVD's include a LOT of interviews and pencil tests, which is cool. If you like Ren & Stimpy i don't think you'll be disappointed with this great 2 disc set.

I used to love his work too.
I think he refers to the animation. John K. seems to be a guy who takes the animation of a show more seriously than the content. Ren & Stimpy only works if the animation is decent, and it is. I agree that some of the APC cartoons are a bit too much, like "Onward & Upward" and "Stimpy's Pregnant Part 2", which didn't come out as "adult" but more like "childish". The other cartoons are great though.

shareYeah. "Stimpy's Pregnant" was pretty much as weird and twisted as everyone expected. Stay away from part 2 though as it sucks.
