I'am going to kill myself.

Why does everybody make such a fuss about things, when one says I am going to kill myself? It's his or her life. They want to die,Fine. One less on this already overburdened planet. On the contrary, one should say please don't go alone. Take some more with you. We should have an association called " The suicide club" Die . Don't make a scene and seek publicity.Just die.

Well, s/he's being a bit mean & cynical about it, but for the most part, I agree. Human beings have the right to do whatever they want with their own bodies, IMO. If they want "out" then let them go. I'm not saying be callous about it & good riddance or anything, but if they want to die that badly because they're that miserable, really, what good does it do to keep fighting with them to stay?

I can't understand your crazy moon language.

reply

Actually, human beings (at least NOT in the USA) do NOT have the right to do whatever they want with their own bodies. It is illegal to sell your own kidney and other major organs. Likewise, you cannot sell yourself into slavery. The majority of states also consider physician assisted suicide illegal. It should be no surprise that there is a legal and "moral" obligation to prevent suicide by getting that person help/treatment.

reply

Legality and morality are completely different things. Just because some powerful people somewhere wrote something on a "magic" paper doesn't mean things suddenly change their morality status. Rights don't come from politicians or rulers.

its pain no one who hasn't been through it can understand

Your point is so stupid and regressive. Its like saying "Dont give treatment to a person dying with heart attack, this planet is overburdened already". Mental health is very important, people who are shortsighted as you wouldnt understand. Suicidal tendency out of depression is a "disease", it should be treated like one.
You belong to medieval ages dude, where science is not understood and is an evil. You are like the 'dark', your only purpose in life is to point out the light. #MentalHealthForAll

Suicide is the most selfish crime that someone can commit. There is a reason it is discouraged. For every person that ends their own life, there are hundreds of people that they impact. Don't be a coward and get help.

reply

I don't think it is selfish for one to kill themselves. In fact, on the contrary, I think it is selfless. It may be devistating for family, friends, relatives and those close to you, but if you commit suicide because you can no longer live the life you are living, you allow someone else to experience life in your place. For every person that dies, someone else is born; maybe not in the form of another human or maybe not even a creature on this planet, but be the laws of the conservation of energy of the universe, your death brings about someone else's experiences.

In the United States, most jurisdictions don't necessarily consider it a "crime" to threaten suicide. However, by notifying law enforcement, etc, it is a way to make a legal report that a person may be suicidal to protect law enforce, doctors, school counselors from litigation if the person follows through with suicide. Depending on the state, suicide threats are used to forcibly commmit a person to psychiatric evaluation, again, to avoid litigation. It's really all about not being sued under the guise of getting people help.
